Hi eveyone, I just had a really nice quick lunch that is one of the first times I have cooked for flavor as well as health (I just tend to see food as fuel) and wanted to share it with you....

One half tin of chopped tomatoes
One full boiled egg chopped
Half an onion chopped
Any chopped cooked meat you like I used pork
One oxo cube (beef)
Mixed dried fruit two tbsps
Poppy seeds one tsp
Chilli powder half tsp
Cup of water to thicken up

Simply chuck it all in a saucepan and bring to the boil, once I had cooked it I realised I can use half for tommorrow with my grilled chicken bonus! Never cooked like this before n had no idea how it would taste so I am very happy. I might try it with beef in a slow cooker as its quite hearty.

Let me know what you think esp if you try it?

Clark

I'm not a fan of the dried fruits but the rest sounds delicious. What are oxo cubes, though?

Oxo are bouillon cubes. In US the bigger brands are Knorr, Wylers and McCormick.

Thank you! I think Knorr is the most popular one here, too.
