Hi Everyone,
My name is Linda and I am new to fitnesspal. I started my weight loss journey last year in May. When I started I was at 287 pounds which was the highest I had ever weighed in my life. I was down to 236 but have gained and lost the same 10 or 12 pounds for awhile now. Right now I am at 248 and want to get out of the 240's again and stay out of them. I am open to any
and all suggestions on exercise and food intake that any one has to offer.
Hugs,
Linda

Hi, I'm new here also. Started being serious about weight loss when I hit 300lbs about 4 years ago. I lost 60lbs over about 1 1/2 years and then kinda settled in around 250. Now I've gained over the holidays and I'm pushing hard to get down under that 240 mark also. I love that this site is so easy to use and looks like lots of nice people to offer support and tips. One thing I can say for sure, during my initial loss of 60lbs, regular visits to the gym (3-5x a week) and a good program for tracking all my food intake vs calories burned really helped me a lot.

Hi guys, I am a 22 year old who recently just finished playing softball at my college. I would love any add along this journey of weight loss (life style change). I have not had the perfect streak of holding on to a particular "diet and exercise" as I should. Support is needed here.
  • Hello! I am not new to myfitnesspal, I have been a user for a few months now. I am guilty of not being dedicated to tracking my eating habits (my weakness by the way). I do really well with committing myself to being active, if only I could committ myself to eating healthy and making myself accountable for what I do eat. I need motivation( in the form of other's successes) and tips for making that possible. I really need to focus on losing weight, I would love to start training for a marathon (January 2012) but doing that as I am now, would out too much weight on my joints and would make it that much harder; therefore, I have given myself 6 months to start losing...any tips would be greatly appreicated or even just motivation through your own successes would be fantastic.
  • Hello. Wow 28 lbs? That's amazing. How long did it take? What was your method of losing successfully? It took me 18 months to lose 15 pounds and so that just devastating, I try not to get discouraged. I am very curious. Keep up the good work by the way.
