So in making changes in my diet and exercise I have come to this place where I have begun questioning what do I need to do to convince myself to get out there and do what needs to be done. Hence my subject line "the answer is..........", I don't know so help me out and tell me what gets you to that place where every day you make the right choices and not the wrong ones. What keeps you working out each day instead of finding other excuses, what keeps you to your calorie goals instead of eating above and beyong your goal. Thanks for reading and any posts!

My kids is a major factor...being 21 with no energy to play with them is rediculous to me.... another is confidence... I have never had it even as a teenager being a size 1... I wanna feel good about myself & look in the mirror and smile not cringe in disbelief0

A stupid freaking dress. (going to be a bridesmaild this year)
And that I feel like sometimes my bf doesn't like the way I look (even though he's never said that) kind of a "self inflicted" wound I guess.
I would love to say my children, and the fact that I want to set a good example for them, but I unfortunately need a tangible item or feeling to motivate me. So when (ha ha) I fit into that dress then I'll just put something in it's place.
That probably makes me sound like an a-hole, but it's the honest truth.
I have to be hard on myself, but when I slip up I don't give up, I just keep going.... find something important to you and maybe there are more out there like me that need that tangible item or feeling.0 -
My health. I want to be good to my body as it has done so much for me. There was a period however that I was watching food documentaries once a week. That helped me stay away from fast food and processed foods. I still watch them every now and then when I catch myself slipping. It works for me!
I also remember that if I mess up one day, I can start over the next. I just need to be consistent and no need to beat myself up over it.0 -
I have lots of reasons, but mostly, I still want to feel young even when I'm not.0

Nothing keeps me on track every day. I have off days where I eat or drink too much, eat foods I know are unhealthy, don't exercise, etc. But what keeps me from letting every day be like that is that I want to be healthy. I don't want to be one of those people that has to take a handful of meds just to keep my body functioning properly or moans and groans with every little activity.
And the fringe benefit of looking good in (or out of) my clothes is pretty nice too.0 -
the reasons are on my profile page. please read it. you can come up with your own reasons by doing this activity: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/H_Factor/view/recipe-for-a-will-power-pill-for-help-with-the-mental-part-of-the-journey-155978
also, we are human and we will struggle. I don't make the healthy choices ALL of the time...but I aim for 90% success.0
