certified group fitness instructors, a question for you?

This only applies to those who are certified instructors? Who did you get accredited through and why did you choose them? I know there are a few options, ACE, AFAA, ASFA etc. I'm seriously considering becoming a group fitness instructor, focusing on step for now and was wondering what program to use.
Thank you for your help!

Hi! I'm an AFAA certified group fitness instructor. I chose AFAA because it is accepted by most gyms and if you take the certification during their APEX times (I think February/September?) you can get an AWESOME discount ($99 compared to $300 + the cost of study materials).
All of the certifications that are most accepted by gyms (AFAA, ACE, etc.) require home study. Some require just a written test and some have both a written and practicial portion of the test. I also liked AFAA for Group Ex because they offer a practical skills workshop on the day of the certification test.
....with that said, I'm currently studying for my Personal Training cert. through ACE
Let me know if you have any other questions!0
