My fav movie is Withnail & I without exception or question.

I love the script, the acting, the soundtrack, the pacing & the story... everything about it is done just right and is rightfully considered one of Englands most iconic movies!

Let's see..here are some of my favorites:

    Pretty much any Zombie movies
Numerous horror movies (it would take forever to list)
    The Joy Luck Club
    Orphanage

Husband and I watch LOTS of movies since he owns a video store.

Wait, where? I need a good video store in FoCo!?!

The Village Vidiot on West Elizabeth ^_^

Yeah the foreign ones are a lot more interesting because they're less Hollywooded out with smaller budgets so they have to rely on the plot and acting more.... I guess its also because were prob bored with our culture haha
Haha yeah and those are just my favorites....

Damn I watch a lot of movies....

I watch a lot of movies too, but gosh that's a long list... Lol
Everything I watch ends up being my favorite really, haha.
The foreign ones, I always forget the titles.. But those would be my tops.
I find the themes more relate-able.. In the US, they only show what the "people" want to see. They lack truth. It's all about the glam factor. I'd much rather watch a movie with an out of shape, average looking person who can act.. than watch someone every thinks is just oh so perfect, due to video editing effects. ya know..

This is my exact argument for why everyone should boycott the US version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in favor of the Swedish version.

Thank you!! I have no real desire to see it, not that I will doubt the good acting and story but the original which isn't old enough to be remade was excellent. Plus the commercial for the US version looks to be a screen by screen remake. There is absolutely nothing wrong with subtitles people.

Reminds me of when they remade Let the Right One In, which I fell completely in love with and yet had to be remade for US, again not an old movie and was such a disappointment in comparison to original.

Exactly! There was just no reason to do it.

Of course that same could be said for Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Last House on the Left, and most especially Psycho!!!! (what they hell was Gus Van sant thinking!?!)

Some are pretty hard to watch. Some have a dark humor to it, such as Happiness and Welcome to the Dollhouse.

    Bram Stoker's Dracula
Pride and Prejudice ( BBC Version 1995)
How to Marry a Millionaire ( 1953 Marilyn Monroe)

It's always so weird to see the name Dracula. Haha.
Mostly because he married into my family.. & I always feel bad when I see it.
Would have been cool, if he was actually a vampire.

ok ok, well in a nutshell Leo's wife's death drove him insane, so he is sent to this mental institute, but in his mind he fabricates a fake personality in which he is a cop, so the whole movie is pretty much him hallucinating, then at the very end he snaps back and realises that it was he himself who killed his wife since she killed their children .
    This explains it nicely http://screenrant.com/shutter-island-spoilers-discussion-vic-46052/

    Ahhh..
See by the end I was thinking he was in a mental institute in his mind where he where he was crazed by murders of his loved ones his imaginary mind created an alternate imaginary world as a cop.. & then my mind exploded from not understanding anything.
