Has anyone tried the Biggest Lose Workout DVDS. I have a friend who just got them and we wanted to know do they work. Since the BL contestants exercise at least 6 hours a day she is going to cut it down to 3 hours a day. But do they work? If they do I might join her? Also is there a order you do the tapes in. Thanks in advance! =]

I do Biggest Loser Cardio Max and Power Sculpt 3-5 times a week, and they worked for me. :O)0

I picked up The Biggest Looser 2 at ROSS (for $3) and my Hubby & I tried it last nite. It was a lot of fun, and although I am considered fit, I still sweat like a pig! I really enjoyed it (of course for his sake I did the men's workouts with him & really really liked those better than most womens workouts  )
The basic concept is warm-up, cardio, strength training & cool down. Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, basic circuit training works as well (I got great arm def using that & her No More Trouble Zones as evidenced in the pic - PS, I don't use more than 8 or 10 lb dumbbells & this is what I've achieved!).
I would really recommend starting your workouts SLOWLY!! unless you are already considered fit. Start with 30 mins 4-5 times per week, then build up to 45 mins, then an hour & then maybe do an AM workout & a PM workout 3-4 times per week (keep around an hour on each workout). If you hit too hard too fast you will burn out & lose the enjoyment. I've built up over the last 2 years to where I am now: started with mild workouts & now can handle an 80+ minute intense kickboxing DVD, but again, I started slow. I found workouts I would enjoy and didn't go overboard to the point I'd lose the drive. This is 4-Life, I want to keep this up 4-Life and I definitely think it's doable
Best of luck to you & your friend - Enjoy your new Fitness :flowerforyou:0 -

Started the Jillian Michaels 30 day Shredd. It is a great work out for a beginner. It is 20 minutes. Personnaly I don't think working out for 5-6 hours a day is healthy. You may see great results in a short time but will it be something you can stick to for the rest of your life? I don't know about any body else but I have a family and other life things to do. I could not maintaint hat type of schedule and have time for my family and my self. An hour or two a day is more realist.0

Yea we were not going to exercise 6 hours a day lol thats madness. I was going on the lines of maybe 3 hours and thats one hour in the am, one hour in the mid day, and one at night.0

Please just stick with starting slow & easy. As much as I love to workout, I limit myself to an hour each AM 5-6 times per week, workout for additional 30-60 mins 3-4 nites per week (those are with my Hubby) and take a rest day. I can't STRESS how important those rest days are. I've overtrained & am battling to undo the damage I did.
I know you really want this, but nothing worth it comes quick and easy. The tortoise said it best "slow and steady wins the race" and I am living walking muscling proof of that :flowerforyou:0 -
Hi everyone
I started last week doing the Biggest Loser Cardio Max work out. I am loving it and I love BOB HARPER... he seems to motivate me and push me on this video.
My big question to everyone that does this video, how often do you do it and is it helping you to lose weight. I am trying to do it 5 days a week.. I also play badminton, and tennis once a week.
What other activities do you all do to excersise.

oh YAY a new post lol I was just realizing all these were from august! I am doing the cardio blast. I push myself to do more than just one level though. I haven't been doing it long enough to know how well it works but man it makes me sweat! I did level one and two yesterday with the warm up and cool down, then today I did all three levels with the warm up and cool down, but i took a water and rest break for a few minutes inbetween each set! I will be updating after i have done it a month, on how it worked out and with measurments! If you wanna, you can add me so you can see how it worked for me!0

how do you log the cardio max on here?0 -
I was doing the Biggest Loser Last Chance Workout, and I had really good losses while I was doing it. The diet plan I've been on isn't enough calories to sustain a high intensity workout like that, so I had to stop in the 5th week, when it was a full hour. I will definitely do it again when I'm on a more "normal" diet!0
