GOOD REPORT FROM THE DOCTOR!!

First post for me...

I started MFP in late September.

I had a 3 month update visit with my doctor yesterday. The results to date are that I have lost 26 lbs and have dropped my A1C from 9.0 to 6.4!! The doctor was as thrilled as I was!!

When I left the doctor's office, all the nurses were checking out MFP online and wanting the details!

Back to lurking and working on another 25 lbs!

    Great job - congratulations!

    That reminds me of my annual physical exam back in early October. My doctor asked what he could do to get me to lose weight, and my response was, "I have an app for that". ;-) He laughed loudly, and then I shared MFP with him (which I had just discovered from a friend). He was skeptical saying, "we'll see how that works out".

    I can't wait for my next exam to see his response then. :-)

    Way to go Ledbet!!!! I'm a Diabetic Nurse Educator so I know how good those numbers are!!! That is an INCREDIBLE achievement! Keep it up and you won't have active Diabetes anymore!!! Wow I'm proud of you!

    Everytime I see people getting their A1C down, it gives me hope.....My last a1c was 9 down from 11....I thought the hardest part was the food and I would be hungry...But not so...And I have been under a number of days since I started in Dec. 11...

    That's fantastic!!! A1C makes a huge difference in your health!! I am a nurse and would love to see my patients have that dedication to their health!
