New Rules of Lifting Question

I have the book but haven't had a chance to read it yet. Also, right now I'm working out at home with a set of dumbbells and a bench. I understand one of the books main lifts is the dead lift. Does it give an adaptation for dumbbells or am I going to have to look into purchasing a bar and more weights? Thanks for the help.

you're going to need more weights lol0

You can do a variation of a dl with dumbbells, either straight-legged or one-legged, which also helps improve balance. theres an explanation in the book, along with pictures (at least in the NROL/women). that said, having at least a bar isn't a bad investment and shouldn't cost very much...ad weight plates when you can.0

I figured I'd eventually need to get a bar. But it's at least nice to know I can get started with variations. Thanks!0

Here's a video for dumbbell variation.

It would definitely be worth investing in a bar and more weights. Check Craiglist's List for stuff like that. I had a friend get a whole weight set with bench, bars and weight plates for $150.0
