I hope this isn't a silly question but can you wear your heart monitor and the watch that comes with it while swimming? Does anyone do this? It appears to be waterproof material but I am not doing it unless someone assures me it's okay. Thanks! If not, can you buy ones for swimming? :)

    What HRM do you have? I know at least some of the Polar ones are water resistant but you're not supposed to touch the buttons on the wrist unit while submerged/wet. If you have a Polar, they have loads of info on their website.

    I have a polar rs300x and the manager at the gym said you aren't supposed to get the thing that snaps onto the chest strap wet. Makes no sense since the watch part is water resistant. Now I have to go and read the manual again, haha.
