Eyelash extensions?

Has anyone had these done and what was your experience with them? Im sort of interested in getting them done before a month long trip overseas just so I can avoid putting on mascara everyday;) (I don't want an obviously fake look, just really natural looking). I just worry about the comfort level of having them on since we will basically be backpacking through parts of Southeast asia, snorkelling, and in the ocean for part of it. Does this even seem practical or am I completely nuts lol?

Im sure some people will just say go without makeup.....but I just can't go without mascara;) I honestly feel naked without it so it's either waterproof mascara or eyelash extensions!

    1. they don't look natural, they look like you're wearing false lashes.
    2. They don't stay on well enough to stand up to snorkeling, etc. Maybe a week under good conditions, maybe. (Certainly NOT a month, regardless)
    3. Once they start to fall out, they take your lashes with them...sometimes.

    I'd go with waterproof if you can't go without mascara.

    dont worry, asians don't have long eyelashes so while backpacking - you'll look like you had extensions anyway.

    Thanks for the quick responses:) Definitely will be sticking with waterproof mascara! Don't want to look like a made up barbie-doll with huge lashes while backpacking lol

    Why not just get an eyelash tint? :bigsmile: It darkens them up and lasts about 6 weeks I get it done every Summer as I don't like to wear a lot of makeup :wink:

    A mate of mine got hers done today took about 2 hours to place them all on. she said they are not uncomfortable, takes about 30 mins to forget they are even there BUT they only last about 3 or 4 weeks under normal conditions not advisable if you are travelling :wink:

    Eyelash tint and lift...booked it for next week:). Apparently its really big in the UK now and basically makes your eyelashes look like you curled them but Lasts eight weeks which will be perfect!! Looks really natural to....thanks again everyone
