I'm confused...I'm on a 1200 calorie diet and (surprisingly) I'm doing well with that...But I workout on the treadmill at night and gain about 250-400 calories back...Am I supposed to eat those back?
What I've been doing is eating about 1400 calories since I know I’ll be making the surplus back....Is that how that works??? Or am I supposed to ONLY eat 1200 calories? Help

If I'm not mistaken, MFP calculates your calorie requirements from your bmr paired with everyday activity level regardless of exercise; thus, it wants you to eat your exercise calories because it already has you at a low enough level to, say, lose 1# a week.0
