I am trying to do sit ups. But I don't think they are very effective. I have a very large belly. That is where most of my weight is stored actually. Any suggestions on sit up type exercises I can do from home without equipment?

Thanks!

Have you tried to use a balance ball? I have found that you can do lots of core exercises with it. Here's a link (I hope that's ok) to the Mayo Clinic's core-strength exercises.

I hope this helps. I know some of those are great and I do them in Taekwondo training. Good luck!!!

Also, if you're able to get access to a rowing machine, those can work wonders for you core if you do it properly :) When I was rowing, my core was so strong and it was mostly credited to erging every day! It's also belly friendly, I would know! :)
