I run about 30-35 miles a week. I also am also training for my 2nd marathon (New Orleans Rock and Roll 1/2 marathon - I did a full marathon on my birthday: San Antonio Rock and Roll Marathon).

My goal for 2012 is to run 1000+ miles by Dec 31, 2012. I *know* I will make this goal early - probally in October but I am setting the goal low in case of injury or other misfortunes

I would like to add runners to my friends list

    Feel free to add me!
I've ran 2 half marathons and a metric marathon. Right now I'm running about 25 miles a week and I'm about to start training for my first marathon in April so my mileage is going to go up soon.

Thats awesome! I used to run all the time....im just starting out at 1-3 miles hopefully a day...I know starting out is tough, but Im trying to get over the hump, because I know if I do I will stick with it and I will tone and lose the weight I need to.

I've been "trying" to become a runner. I slack in the winter :-/ I ran my first half in Sept and it was NOT pretty!!! I did finish under my goal (2hr 57min) but I was in so much pain with calf cramps, I got a black toe (still have it) and it really was not want I expected for my first half. After talking with other runners the half I did was one of the hardest they had run as well and should not have been my first lol I have signed up for another in April. I'm hoping I can do better this time. Add me if you would like but I am a newbie/half timer. :-)

My name says it all. :) I'm getting back into running after a sesamoid injury, but I've run 1 marathon, 22 half marathons, and 75+ other races. (I'm a junkie.)

I also play roller derby and that's my focus in 2012, but I'm still running shorter distances. Feel free to add me! I can always use more motivation!

I'm a runner. Not a fast runner. Not a particularly good runner. But I've been at it since September, and I hope to get better. I've only run one race, a 5K in October, but I plan to sign up for a few more this year for motivation. Feel free to add me.

Feel free to add me, I am training for my first 17K and 1/2 in May or August (or both) haven't decided which one I want to do. I generally run 20-30 miles per week and cross train with a road bike. I am not a fast runner, I run for shear pleasure and stress release.

I'll take adds too! Looking to run next half in March. It's treadmill training for me though in Salt Lake City and Park City, UT. I think I'm going to download the imapmyrun app training plan. Has anyone used it? The app is ok. Also, looking to train at 9min miles.

Well, currently I am only running 20-25 miles a week, but I love it. Friend me if you want! I've done several races and I've even organized a few.
  • Feel free to add me as well. New to MFP, but want to lose about 15 kg to seriously improve my speed. I am training for Vienna City Marathon in April and got a couple of half-marathons planned in the meantime.

I ran a marathon about 3 years ago and a few half marathons, and lots of smaller races. Have been running on and off for about 10 years.

I'm a runner too! Done a handful of half's, a marathon in December, but have long distance triathlons I'm training for now, so the running is going to the back burner (except for the Divas Half Marathon in Oahu April 1, anyone else doing that??! so excited!) I was a competitive swimmer, so the fact that I'm a "runner" now is fun, but doesn't come without injuries! neuromas, plantar fasciitis, etc - had to switch it up. good luck in your upcoming races! feel free to add me. it's nice to see encouragement and workouts from those w similar interests

Hi, I have been running since October and am training for my first half marathon in March. I am running my first ever race a 10k next month as a bit of a warm up and to get experience of running with others. I am enjoying the running and the improvement in my health and fitness from doing it.

You can add me to your friends list if you would like to :)

Hello, I'm a runner but no marathon runner. I did my first 5k in October and am looking to do more this year. Been getting better with my running since last year.when I first started after I had my twins I remember being proud to do it for 30seconds on the treadmill. ...that was when I was in the 220's. I know I've come a long way since then. Feel free to add me runners!

Anyone who wants can add me too. I returned to running last year, completed a marathon and am continuing to build mileage and work on improving my form.

I'm doing half marathons in every state. Today I have 34 medals hanging on wine bottles made in each of those states. By Sunday of this week, I'll have 36 for show-and-tell.

I've done one full marathon and am in the, "Hummm... maybe I will," stage of doing another full. But they're a lot of work, so I may be able to shake my brain enough to get that thought out of my mind.

I'm more of a back of the packer, but am working on having a PR in SD this June. A PR for me would be a time faster than 2:16ish.

    Add me if you wish.

Just going for 1000km in 2012 here :)
Various events booked and planned, the big one is a 25km trail in June. Hoping to tackle the Sydney half as a training run up in May.
But I also adventure race, mountainbike and road cycle :)

I started running last spring. I've done a handful of 5Ks and am training for my very 1st half marathon in May. I'm definitely not a fast runner but I'm out there running. I still consider myself a beginner. But I do enjoy it. It's my "me" time. Feel free to add me as well runners.

I am fairly new to running too. I am currently running 25-30 miles per week and I have my first half-marathon on March 17th in DC (Rock 'n Roll). Would love to have some runners as friends too!

You can add if you like. I love talking about running and hearing other's stories and accomplishments.

I ran my first full marathon last September (Columbus, OH). I am participating in the Tough Mudder this April ... followed by a 1/2 marathon the following weekend (Glass City 1/2 in Toledo). I plan on running another full marathon this fall.

    Hi all!

I am not a fast runner by any means and have only done a few 5K's but training for a half marathon in in May 2012.

I would love some like minded friends who "get" the need to get out and run! Would love to get some different perspectives/advice. Feel free to add me.
  • I'm training for my first full marathon in May. (flying pig) I'd love to have more running friends to help me stay motivated. :)
