It's a gym day for me today so just completed 40mins while on my lunch.. TJamming tomorrow after work.. Might try to get in a little toning later on if I have any energy left

Dragonfly, what wrist weights are you using? I use the TJ gloves in all my workouts now, it feels very weird without them!

Hi ladies!!! Hope you all had a great weekend!

I'm back home from Lubbock but we had to make an unexpected trip to my home town for a funeral so we've been all over TX in the last 5 days... happy to be home though

I weighed this morning and didn't gain anything which was great news for me! I didn't get hardly any workouts in except walking which wasn't very intense so today I'll be working my rear off with TJ!!! You know you're addicted to it when you're in the car going over the TJ moves and actually start moving to it LOL

    Have a great Tuesday! :flowerforyou:

    Hey All,
Just checkin in before dinner and off to do 20min TJ before things get too crazy - fish can bake in the oven while doing the w/o I just have to pop in and check on it right after the turbo, LOL!! I've got a little system going - don't even have to stop the dvd player:laugh:
Ronks- Glad your back safe and sound and deeply sorry for you loss . Hope you and the family are ok - it's nice to get back to your routine:flowerforyou:

Deedun - hey there! Ever since I broke my gloves that came wit hmy set I've been using these e1lb wrist weights I got at walmart - they are awesome! Box sez can be used for walking or running so why not TJ. Just alittle heavier and a whole lot cheaper (6 buck for the set) and the velcro is more durable which is a plus for me. I was grateful to find them b/c you are so right - the work outs are totally different w/ the weights. I wear them all the time, except for ab jam.

Kinda lite on the boards tonight ~ where is everybody??

Take care all ~ off to jam

    Hi Everyone.

Dara thanks for starting the thread again this week. I'm so happy to see everyone still Jammin their little hearts out! I have started jogging and it's replaced my TJ time. I also have gotten very busy with work and don't have near as much free time to spend on my favorite addictions MFP and TJ.

I'm actually hoping to get in TJ today. I haven't done it in days and I miss it very much. Jogging is a new experience for me. I remember in High School we would have to run/jog in PE and I would jog for about 2 secs and then walk the rest of the way. In college I took a PE class and on the first day the group decided they wanted to run/jog for the entire class...I dropped out of the run and the class. Right now I'm only jogging one mile (in 12 mins, not too bad) and then I walk the mile home. I'm hoping to build endurance and be able to make it to the mile point without feeling like I'm going to pass out....then I will add a 1/4 mile until I can jog the full 2 miles. With the heat coming I need to either figure out how to get up really early or jog very late.

Did anyone order the Turbo Kick workouts that Chalene now offers? I've been waiting for my first paycheck to order them. But yesterday I got in a car accident and damaged my car pretty bad so there goes my paycheck  I'm fine, it was just a fender bender but I hit a SUV with a trailer hitch and the hitch went right thru my bumper.

Anywhoooo Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and keep on Jammin!

Oh no Lyn, that is terrible  That must of been very scary for you:noway:

But congrats on the jogging! I cant jog whatsoever and every now and I try when I'm on the threadmill but it's a killer!!

It's my last chance workout tonight before my weigh in tomorrow.. I am wondering what TJ dvd to do.. Any suggestions?

i have only done CP3 once but I didnt get it finished but I cant remember why I didnt and I cant remember why I am avoiding it!! I need a good calorie burn for tonight, any suggestions?

Kennie and deedun- good job ladies on your workouts... now when you guys mention the CP workouts is that from the Chalene Extreme series?

Drevans_mom- that's horrible to hear but the positive is that you're ok! Congrats on jogging a mile in 12 min. that stamina will hit ya before you know it!

    Megan- where are you girl?

Janet- Keep up the good work... you all are a huge inspiration for me to get off my rear and workout everyday!

I have decided to mix my routine up and throw some slim in six in with the TJ. I got such good results with it and I'm also seeing great results with TJ but I just want to keep my body doing different stuff!
  • I got my DVD's yesterday! Woohoo  I immediately opened the box and looked through all my stuff as well as took before pictures and my measurements. Seeing the pictures was actually kind of shocking because I am at my lowest weight ever and I feel so good but I see that there is still a long way to go!!! :ohwell:

So I did the learn and burn last night..was funny with my 18 month old trying to hang on to my legs..every time i would move she would LAUGH like we were playing the best game ever...haha

Then I did the "burn" again this morning at 4:15 am! I really like it so far. I am SO UNCOORDINATED but i have got the moves down surprisingly quickly!

The only thing is my knees felt a little uncomfortable. Did anyone else experience this when they first started? I am in perfect health and never have had any knee or joint problems! im hoping that once my legs get stronger this wont be an issue.

but overall, i LOVE IT! I will post my "pre" stats tonight when I get home!

    Hi Everyone!
Wow, what a hectic time of year for me! So many graduations, school programs, dance recitals....but lots of fun. Anyway, I've still been getting in my workouts. Today was Push 3. I really wanted to get in some cardio with it, but I just don't have the energy after those workouts! I see you're all doing great on your workouts! :drinker:

Lyn, sorry to hear about the accident...glad you're ok...WTG on the running:drinker: !!

E...so excited for you to start jammin' with us!! :flowerforyou:

Amber, CP stands for cardo party and it's part of the Turbo Jam series...there's CP1, 2, and 3...and depending on which package you have, you may only have CP1, or all of them.

    Have a great evening everyone!

So yesterday after the accident I had some pain in my ankle but it wasn't anything major. This morning I did CP3 and heard my ankle pop a couple times but no pain. Tonight I can barely walk on it. I think I'm gonna have to have it looked at...I may be on restricted exercise :noway:
    I will keep you posted.

    Arms: 11.5"
    Waist: 30"

Good job on eating right and working out! The first couple times of ab jam is really tough... especially the part on the ground but just keep at it and you'll build up to it! :flowerforyou:

:grumble: Well I weighed this morning and the scale said I gained 2.5 pounds

I can see the inches coming off and normally this is the point where I'd say screw it cause the scale gets to me everytime it seems but I've decided to push forward... it's just a number on a scale. I guess my clothes can be the judge of my size this time!

    Have a great Friday everyone!!!

I'll be checking in later today... :glasses:

Amber, try not to let that number get you down...I know it's easier said than done, but my experience with those last few pounds is that I wouldn't lose anything or even gain a pound or two over several weeks, and then suddenly I'd be down several pounds. Another thing I've noticed is that for me, first thing in the morning is not the best time to weigh myself...I think I retain water over night or something  I'm always 2 lbs lighter in the afternoon than in the morning! Weird! I've really come to realize that the mirror and the way my clothes fit are the best way to measure my progress, and you're doing a great job! :flowerforyou:

I'm checking in today with Push 1 and Extreme Abs.

    Have a great Friday everyone!

dont get discouraged girl! keep moving forward and your body will follow! clothes and inches are a much better measure than the scale, because as you know, muscle weighs more than fat. keep going at it , im sure in the next few days that scale will be back to normal. :flowerforyou:
  • so i am committing here for all to see that i am doing ab jam tonight! i am soo tired, i had school last night and didnt get to bed till 12, so i didnt work out this morning. :frown: so now i am accountable to you all to get those abs worked!

has anyone here tried shakeology by beachbody? like it? love it?

Happy happy friday my jammin friends!

Good job on the ab work!!! That ab jam is a tough one for me

I'm so suprised that today I didn't throw in the towel... it has to be the support of this thread because normally I would've been done. I'm still going strong though... checking in today with 20 min. TJ workout, 30 min. walk and the DH had to leave for a rig so I'll be getting more in tonight!
My jeans are fitting a little loose as well as my shirts aren't so tight around my midsection so I'm just ignoring my scale for now LOL...

    Have a great weekend everyone!!!!

Amber stick with it. The scale isnt always nice but your clothes are telling you a better story! I feel your pain the scale wasnt nice to me this week either but I had it coming
I went to the doc today. no torn ligament or tendons and no fractures. He just said to take it easy and listen to my body. If it hurts don't do it  Probably take the rest of the weekend off and then ease back in on Monday. I miss my TJ and my jogging I was making such great progress and now I've been set back. Gotta get to it!

    Have a great weekend all!

Hope you get to feeling better soon... but on the positive it's not broke or torn  Take it easy and get back to it when you're comfortable!

Alright guys so I'm wanting to buy some different Turbo Jam dvd's just to spice up my routine... all I have is the original 5 workouts (learn &burn, CP1, turbo sculpt, ab jam, 20 min.) what does everyone like the best so I have an idea on what to buy! I think I'm going for the lower body jam dvd and maybe one other one possibly CP2 or CP3???

Checking in with 20 min. workout, about 25 min of walking but I'm not done yet! Me and the kiddos have been at the pool today so I've been keeping busy and hopefully getting a little tanner hehe
