Do you worry about calories when you're sick?

Title pretty much says it all. I've had a nasty head cold for the last few days, and though I've been watching my calories and staying under my goal, I've found that I'm still absolutely starving (which is usually not a problem when I'm healthy). Part of me thinks I should just eat when I'm hungry. But the other part of me thinks that it's a cop-out and that I'll end up gaining weight back if I do this.

Do you maintain your deficit when you're sick, or do you give yourself a couple of cheat days?

I don't usually want to eat much when I'm sick but when I do it has to be comfort food. I would at least keep tracking the food I'm eating. If you go over a little, don't beat yourself up.

I've been sick with a cough and get winded easily right now so have backed off exercising and taking cough drops so much the roof of my mouth hurts :ohwell: I've heard you should feed a cold and starve the flu but i havent been hungrier. I am staying within my limits but just not counting the calories in my cough drops and like I said not exercising. I get a bit frustrated cause my scales not moving but I'd rather stay steady than go backwards. Hope you feel better soon!!

often the only part of worrying I do about calories is "am I eating enough"?

I try to eat at goal or more during sick times

Yeah, this is pretty much what I've been doing. I feel awful because I was about to start level 2 of 30DS when I got sick, but now I haven't worked out in a couple of days. It's kind of hard to exercise when you can't breathe, though, so I'm trying not to beat myself up too much.

The first two days I was sick, I didn't want to eat anything and was under by 200 calories or so. But now, I'm pretty much ravenous and going "Wtf, body."

I have the opposite. I've been sick a couple days now with a sore throat and cough and I've lost my appetite all together. I barely eat but I still feel energetic enough to workout. I know I should take a day off but I literally can't keep still but I find I'm forcing myself to eat just to have calories.
