But it's cheap and easy to feed the kids...

I hear that excuse working at McDonalds day in and day out. Even the people that won't eat there themselves feed it to their kids. However, I saw this picture of a warning label that the state of California is now requiring at McDonalds.

Think about that next time you want a quick and easy meal for yourself or your children.

But who here makes their own fries, oven cooks them, makes their own hashed browns? Who here drinks coffee? Who eats biscuits and hamburger buns bought at the grocery store? While the sign may have been at McDonalds, the fact is that you can have exposure in your own home as well.

Exactly! This isn't specific to McDs - the "warning" says it happens when potatoes are browned - which I do quite often....I've never heard of this. Something to research.

While the chemical shows up in many foods, McDonalds foods have higher concentration of parts per billion than anything else listed on the FDA website. Coffee is usually only around 70 parts per billion which isn't that much but McDonalds foods contain in the millions of parts per billion. While it won't cause any serious effects, over time it will build up in your system.

Besides, this is just another reason people shouldn't eat at McDonalds. Not necessarily the most predominate.
