Hi All.
Umm just a little question.
I dance for an hour once a week.
Its not really dancing, sorta techiniques really.
I pole dance.
Its not done for the wrong reasons, onloy for a good laugh anf to get Fitter
its not really very active, just a 15 minute warm up consisting of jogging, stretching etc,
The rest is mainly upper body, holding my own weight.

Any ideas on the calories burnt for the hour?

Thank youuu

Someone posted this site last night, so I am copying it on here. Hopefully you will find it.

You could get a heart-rate/calorie monitor to wear while your dancing. There are alot of different options out there, I have just a standard heart rate monitor that also functions as a watch. I love it and it helps me keep my heart rate right on target. They range in price from the 20$ to 300$, so you can pretty much find one that works. That will probably be your best option if you want an accurate reading.

I would say it's close to yoga or gymnastics - maybe 260-300 calories/hour?

I found an information that dancing at the disco is almost 500 calories/hour!
