30 day shred - hand weights?

I just bought the 30 day shred DVD and plan on starting it tonight. I saw on some of the youtube videos Jillian is using little hand weights. Does anyone know how heavy they are? Do you all use them too?

    I use 5 lb ones. but I know people who use 2 lb and 8 lb

    depends on your fitness/arm strength

    Perfect. Thanks! I have some 10lb ones but those are way too heavy to start with.

    I am using 3lb....Believe me if you use anything above 5lb on your first day you will more then likely be switching to a lighter weight the next. Good luck =D

    I started with three pounders which was a tad to easy for me, moved to five which was challenging, and currently thinking about graduating into eight...

    I just completed day 1 yesterday, didn't use any weights and my arms feel like jello! I'm using 2 lbs weights today...let's see how that goes, lol.
