This one switched a light on in my head.. it was pretty much the start of it all.

"Is this the point where we give up?
Now is this the point where we give in?
Now is this the point where we turn ourselves in?

Or is this the time to ask questions?
Or is this the time to seek answers?
Now is this the time to throw it all in?

When enough is enough that's when you know that you're halfway there
When enough is enough that's when you know that you're halfway there
You're halfway there
That's when you know that you're halfway there

This is the point where we stand up
Now this is the point where we take back
The things that are keeping us from being free

So when enough is enough that's when you know that you're halfway there
When enough is enough that's when you know that you're halfway there

Your voice the airwaves sent you prayed my life would end,
The wasted time I spent ashamed I called you friend,
Give me one reason, I need a reason
Give me one reason, I need a reason, one reason"

This is definitely gonna show my age, but almost anything from the Mamma Mia! soundtrack gets me motivated to get off my keister and moving around.
(Funny, someone else asked the same thing, at the same time. Here was my response to them!)

    My top three songs:

    1) Gimme, Gimme, Gimme / Voulez-Vous mix (from the movie)
    2) Dancing Queen
    3) Take a Chance On Me

I like the original ABBA, too, but there's something about this soundtrack that's just amazing.

I have a "happy cd" that has all my motivating upbeat songs on it. Sadly, I am not good with names of songs, but a few are:
    What's Goin' on
    Cecilia
    Dancing Queen
    Oh Mickey You're So Fine

I'll add more as I think of them.

Ok so don't laugh.....Marry You by Bruno Mars

The song and it's beat make me feel good inside and inspire me to kick it old school on the treadmill and eleptical.
    Maybe it's the dancing juice....hahahahaha

"Sexy and I know it" by LMFAO - It makes me want to dance!!
  • Although not the usual motivational songs, I often work out to Dashboard Confessional, KoL, Secondhand Serenade, etc. I can't help it, I just love them! And 50 mins goes by much faster with their voices in my ear.

Hey, don't write yourself off yet
It's only in your head you feel left out or looked down on.
Just try your best, try everything you can.
And don't you worry what they tell themselves when you're away.

It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride.
Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright).

Hey, you know they're all the same.
You know you're doing better on your own, so don't buy in.
    Live right now.
    Yeah, just be yourself.
It doesn't matter if it's good enough for someone else.

It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride.
Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright).
It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride.

Hey, don't write yourself off yet.
It's only in your head you feel left out or looked down on.
Just do your best, do everything you can.
And don't you worry what the bitter hearts are gonna say.

It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride.

It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride.
Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright).

It really motivates me and is great to work out to.

I typically dont listen to music unless I do a 15+ mile run. I like to listen for ... cars . Don't want to become road-kill --- unless I do a 15+ miler! hahaha, then sometimes I want it to end...

Any song sung by Gwen Stefani or Aimee Echo* motivates me. I'm a singer so when one of their songs comes on my iPod I think about what those ladies look like on stage and how I want those rockin' bodies. Makes me push harder!

*bonus points for anyone who knows who Aimee Echo is and loves her music. You MUST friend me. :)

    Can we pretend that airplanes
    In the night sky
    Are like shooting stars
I could really use a wish right now.

I am woman by Helen Reddy I'm still standing by Elton John, Bad Bad Leroy Brown by Jim Croce! Yes i am a grandma LOL
  • Really any music gets me motivated. I am not a huge rap person, but it really makes me push hard and when I often find myself moving with the beat so the faster the beat the better. I love any song that talks about a beautiful, sexy, hot, lovely or any other word in that scheme because I want to be the girl guys think about when they here those songs. So they motivate me to become that girl. Songs like that include 'beautiful girls by sean kingston', 'Next to you by chris brown', anything romantic basicallly, anything country, I want to be the girl that turns heads. Like 'she dont know shes beautiful by alan jackson'. I want to be the girl in all the songs the guys dream about. I do not want to be a slut or anything haha just want to feel pretty

    Wobble - VIC
    Bounce - Timbaland
Party Like a Rockstar - Shop Boyz
This S**t Will F**k You Up - Combichrist
    Shake That - Eminem

And, Shelter by The XX (not a fast song, but it motivates me to start working out).

I find shelter, in this way
    Under cover, hide away
Can you hear, when I say?
I have never felt this way

Maybe I had said, something that was wrong
Can I make it better, with the lights turned on
Maybe I had said, something that was wrong
Can I make it better, with the lights turned on

Could I be, was I there?
It felt so crystal in the air
I still want to drown, whenever you leave
Please teach me gently, how to breathe

And I'll cross oceans, like never before
So you can feel the way I feel it too
And I'll mirror images back at you
So you can see the way I feel it too

Maybe I had said, something that was wrong
Can I make it better, with the lights turned on
Maybe I had said, something that was wrong
Can I make it better, with the lights turned on

Maybe I had said, something that was wrong
Can I make it better, with the lights turned on
