I need some help and advice. I want to improve my running. I know about the run and walk method, while slowly increasing your run distance to goal. What I dont understand is why my HR with elipitical, walking, jumping rope can be sustained longer then my same HR with running. I just seem to give up. Anything over 5 on the tread will kill me. please help all advice welcomed

When you're running at 5, try doing it for as long as you can and then lower it to 3 or 4 & walk it out & when you feel up to it again, go back up to 5 & repeat. Once you're comfortable with that, try going up to 6 & then lower to @ 4-5 walking & then repeat. It takes time to build up the endurance, but if you keep at it you should be running for longer distances before you know it. Good luck!0
