runners who have had surgery ...how long before

i had abdominal surgery 4 weeks ago and got the clearance to start exercising again on tuesday. i am finding it really difficult to get back into running. all my muscles feel weak, especially my core (i feel like i am hunched over), and i feel like i can't breathe. i have started doing the couch to 5k again to get me back into the 'groove'. what stinks about this is i ran a half-marathon in october but currently feel as if i have never run before.
has this happened to someone else? how long before i start feeling my normal running mojo? any advice?

I was a runner before my hysterectomy. It took me a long time (a year) before I felt "right" when running again. I still have some issues, but that's just my body. I hope you recover quickly!0

I had my last baby in February (c-section), and ran 10K in July. I'm by no means a runner, and I didn't train very hard, but I didn't have a hard time getting back into it after a few months.0
