Sore Muscles

Help! Wednesday I had an intense strength training session and surprise surprise I woke up with some serious sore muscles. So I skipped Thursdays workout to give my body a rest. Today is Friday and my muscles are still sore, maybe even more so.
What should I do? I don't want to skip two workouts but I can barely go up and down stairs let a lone run on a treadmill. Should I work thru the pain and just go for it or give my body more rest? Anyone have any sore muscles remedies?

I did too much chest on Tuesday and today, Friday, I'm still in pain. Howevr, I was in the gym every day anyway, doing Zumba and Step and other workouts.

In other words, work other parts of the body. You'll get there !

Once your start exercising again, you may not notice the soreness as much. At least that has been my experience. Also as a remedy for your sore muscles take a hot bath and put about 2 cups of epsom salts in and soak for about 15 minutes. Athletes have used epsom salts for sore muscles, strains and injuries so I think it could help. :)

    Feel Better!
  • My muscles are always sore the next day, but even worse the second day. Ibuprophen or Aleve work wonders.

Oh man I hear ya, my body is destroyed today, and I had my weight training on Monday. I have to go back to the gym tonight for another session of weight training and I'm dreading it. I didn't take care of myself after my work out though, I guess I'm a glutton for punishment because I knew this would happen. I'm SUPPOSED to have a protein shake after my work out, hot bath with epsome salt and take 2 advil to help with the inflamation...but i didn't do any of that. I just had a quick hot shower and called it quits, and now I'm paying for it. I can feel every cell in my *kitten* right now. If you can hit a hot tub after your lifting, it will do wonders, but don't forget the protein intake within 45 minutes of your work out. If you do it, I'll do it lol and hopefully I won't feel like I'm 100 years old. I have weight training again on Sunday
