Ok so I heard about this stuff, FitNutz peanut butter mix, and I just had to have it. I looooove peanut butter and apples, for real, I eat them everyday. The calories are astronomical and there is so much sugar and fat in regular peanut butter. So I found this mix, and what it is, basically, is peanuts that have been completely pressed and all oils have been eliminated. Its low fat, low in calories, and designed to be used even my the spoonful. So I mixed it on up, looks EXACTLY like my regular Jif peanut butter... but... I couldn't get into the taste. Has anyone else tried this? Should I buy the crunchy kind? Sugar free? Which is the best, because I'm just not feeling the peanut butter mix, nothing compares to my Jif. :(

Sounds like PB2 which is also a powdered peanut product that you mix with water for 45 cals per 2 Tbsp. I just tried that and it's pretty good. But I tend to like less-sugary peanut butters like Smart Balance anyway. Some of the traditional brands like Jif and Skippy tend to be too sweet for me.

I have tried all kinds of peanut butter before I settled on what I choose now. I can't get into the consistency, taste, texture of most natural peanut butters. So, I tried Jif Natural and it's awesome! Sometimes you need to treat yourself. I treat myself with peanut butter and I won't go to anything else other than Jif....

I bought it at www.fitnutzbutter.com. I have read about it before in magazines and decided I needed to try it. I'm a sugar fiend, and I'm thinking thats why I was not digging this at all. Or maybe I'm mourning the loss of my bff, Jif Peanut Butter, and that is why I don't like it. I'm going to try that Target one, and the PB2 as well. I'm on a quest here!

I need to find a lower calorie peanut butter. I usually have it on toast in the morning and then later in the day either with banana or apple. Yum!

Neat, a competitor to PB2. I bought PB2 and really enjoy it, tastes like natural peanut butter but I make it last 1+ year(s) b/c it was $6.99 when I finally found it at a low carb store in Toronto which is CRAZY!

Comparing the online prices for both it's $8.89 lb for PB2 and $11.39 for FitNutz or when comparing the regular jars $4.99 for 5oz FitNutz or $3.99 for 6.5 oz PB2 - PB2 is a much better price.

I think in the future I'll try and order PB2 online. Even with shipping the cost is better than that darn $6.99 I paid.

EDIT: Nix the online ordering at PB2, $17 to Canada, ugh!
  • im obsessed w peanut butter too! i bought smuckers natural and ugh i hated it!! i guess jif creamy is ok in moderation, its got 16 grams of fat and only 3 grams are saturated! i eat natures own whole wheat sugar free bread 1 slice with 2 tbsp of jif creamy pb& j everyday for a snack! its filling and for other snacks i eat baby carrots almonds and yogart as well! here is a great peanut butter recipe for a smoothie from CHALEAN EXTREME beachbody recipe book, tastes great,

    1 tbsp of peanut butter
1 scoop of whey vanilla chocolate protien powder
    ice to taste
