A Simple Tip...

A simple tip that I have found works immensely well for helping me avoid grazing on the goodies the coworkers bring to the office: Chewing Gum.

This tip is brought to you by the doughnuts that have remained unconsumed by me.

Breath Mints may work equally well when consumed directly before entering the area where consumables usually reside.

Love this! I just popped a minty piece of gum in my mouth when I started thinking about all of the glorious snacks around me. It really does work wonders!

    I agree with this!

Also- after dinner I brush my teeth so I am not tempted to eat more and have to "re-brush"

HELL YEAH.. I brush my teeth - and then I have two honking huge glasses of water... works like a charm!

Ohhh, the teeth brushing after dinner is a fantabulous reminder. I've seen that before, but forgotten.
  • I sometimes have a piece of crystalised ginger - nice if you can handle the strong ginger taste and is good for the digestive system.

I try to avoid chewing too much gum as I've heard it encourages you to swallow air which can result in bloating. Not sure how true this is though.

Chewing gum always made me hungrier... I guess my stomach thought I was getting some food since I was chewing.

Now, I found out I'm allergic to something called Balsam of Peru, which is used to flavor gum, toothpaste and other minty things so no more gum for me (I even have to use that weird kid toothpaste that's strawberry flavored)

Tea tree toothpicks have saved me from Otis spunkenmeyer cookies yesterday and peanut butter cup brownies today.

    :)
