Have you ever....
Has anyone ever worn their HRM all day just to see what your calorie burn for the day was? I did it yesterday and burned over 3000 calories (could that be right?) without any exercise added in for the day. I figure if that is normal and I keep my calories at 1500 the weight should be falling off, but it isn't. I usually workout, but yesterday's weather and over sleeping caused my to miss my workout.
Also I must have bumped the HRM it in the night because it only had 6 hours on the timer for the night and I know it was longer than that. Just curious!

no, but....
if you joined in March, and you have lost 22 lbs, then the weight IS falling off!
Is there somehting I am missing? Because 22 lbs since March is FANTASTIC!!!
are you eating your exercise calories?0 -
I've always wanted to try that but I haven't done it. 3000 calories does seem wrong to me. But I guess it depends on various factors, such as how active you are during the day, Do you have kids you run around after or an active job? Also, if you are not in good shape and overweight, you're heart rate will increase easily with any simple activity.0

I had already lost 15 pounds before I found I started using MFP.
I do home daycare so yes I am on my feet moving and chasing children 11 hours a day for work and then in the evening when my 3 children are home. I was mostly surprised that sleeping for 6 hours burned over 1000 calories. Maybe I'm working out in my dreams!0 -
I wore mine one day and found I burned 2400 cal's in a normal day. If you are chasing kids all day, 3000 could be pretty accurate. You may want to up your intake calories and see what happens. Have a deficit of 1000 to 1200 calories instead of 1500. It may be too much for your body to handle a deficit that big. Good luck!0
