You can add me, I need friends on here.

I would take measurements. If you don't want to do that, use your clothes to make judgements on your process, they will probably start to feel more loose.

I know how you feel. Dont look at it like that - look at it like a LONG TERM GOAL. You will lose weight - unless you eat like crap. Eat good and exercise - no way will you hang onto weight forever. IT WILL COME OFF OVER TIME!!! You didnt get heavy over night!!!

Thank you!!!!!! It means a lot and yes i have changed my eating! :)
  • Exercising is great, but you probably won't lose weight at the start if you are doing a good balanced weights and cardio routine. In my first week at the gym with a really good program, I put on about 1kg, but lost 1cm off my waist.

Keep working at it, and don't always believe the scales, as I am still convinced they lie :P

The best thing to do is to keep a chart of your progress (mine is right above my bed) with your weight as well as your measurements for your waist, hips and neck. Trust me, when you start exercising and don't see the results on the scales, this chart will keep you going strong.

I got like yourself not long bAck frustrated after workin so hard and not seeing results - I was recommended to measure myself and you be surprised in the difference! I wish I had measured myself just after Xmas but I forgot dammit!

Just keep at it and don't stress over the scales you will achieve your goals! :0)
  • Thank you guys so much!! I think I actually will measure myself! Thank you!

It's difficult to give advice that will help when your diary is hidden and without a better description of what exercise is to you. How many calories are you eating? How much protein? Sodium? Water? Sugar?????
  • I volunteered at a triathlon this morning and it was really inspirational to see people ranging from 8 years old to 80 years old being so fit and healthy. It really motivated me to start exercising more and aim to be able to do something like that. I've chosen a 5.2km charity fun run. I suggest you volunteer at a similar event or try and aim to be fit enough to participate it something like a fun run. It gives you something to work towards rather than just losing weight.

It could be that you are gaining muscle and since a pound is a pound you migh not see a difference on the scale but having a pound of muscle def out weighs having a pound of fat! How ae your clothes feeling? How are you feeling? Try and keep in mind that the number on the scale does not define you oe your efforts!

Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant. ~Robert Louis Stevenson Thought this was a good one to be interpreted as: Don't judge each day by what the scale says but by the effort that you put in!

My weight loss is pretty slow even though I'm usually under my calorie limit and I work out. It can be discouraging when the number on the scale doesn't change when you do everything right. BUT I decided not to let the be the determining factor of my success. I'm eating better, drinking more water and exercising regularly. As a result, my clothes much looser and I can exercise longer and harder. I look forward to working out in some way or another and try to find ways throughout the day to get in a little something. All of that is progress. The drop in weight will come. Just keep doing what you're doing. I'll send you a friend request, okay?

Patience, you didn't get that way in a day, I'm three months in and slowly creeping downward but I've really improved my performance at the gym. Fitness and tone are just as important then the weight will go too.
  • I agree with everyone! For the past month I have not lost a pound. I was getting so discouraged but then instead of weighing myself I measured. Since I started this journey (5 months) I have lost 13 inches!!!!! So forget that stupid scale!!! Im also going to start lifting more weights over doing so much cardio and see where that takes me!! Don't give up!! You can do it! :D
  • Yes, and I feel like I am more toned than lost weight, So I guess that is good. I am going to keep on. I REALLY am serious about losing the weight this time. I don't want to be unhealthy. lol. Plus I have a wedding in October, so I got to fit that dress!! LOL!
