I'm not one to "fall off the wagon" very easily, but this week has been a B***H! Life has been crazy (crazy family drama, insane wedding drama for the wedding I'm in as a maid of honor next weekend, MAJOR stress at work) and I haven't eaten good at all. It's one of those weeks where every time I go to work out something happens- legitimately. For example, last night the plan was to get out of work and go to the gym. Found out that a relative was re-admitted to the hospital and ended up meeting up with family for that and got home at 11:30- it's been like this all week! Honest! This isn't "oh it's raining out so I can't run so I'll eat Doritos and watch TV" I promise! :explode:
I'm not overweight just have a couple extra pounds I'd like to lose. I'm not someone that I would say generally has bad eating habits, and I really do enjoy working out most of the time. This week, breakfast and lunch have been fine, but after work I pig out (probably because I'm so stressed!) I need to get back into things, and I know that. Realistically, I don't think too much damage was done this week (maybe a pound or two- which sucks big time) but I'm feeling like a whale! Tomorrow I'm starting back up again come hell or high water. I'm stuck at work until 8:00 and then have to head straight to my best friend's house to stuff wedding favors tonight :grumble:
If anyone is or has been in a similar situation, please share any words of wisdom you have,- or anyone for that matter Everyone here is so supportive
Thanks for *listening* :brokenheart:

Take a deep breath and relax a little!! Sometimes the stress of life throws us off for a week or so. Make it through this rough patch - you will, I promise!! - then get back in your groove again. Trust me, by the time you get through all this crap you will be ready to work out and eat healthy again!! Do the best you can - make the wisest choices you are able to and go on with it. There really is only 24 hours in a day and you do need to sleep. Hope things calm down soon for you!! :flowerforyou:
Oh, and venting on MFP always helps!!0 -
I feel ya I haven't been able to work out for a week- I have been sick with a nasty case of sinusitis and to top things off I have a kidney infection (which is getting better) but I can't even really rest because I have to make up time at work -and its end of the month and for my position that means I am crazy busy and to make matters worse I will probably have to work on Saturday-- I am dyin to get back in the gym-
But I will get right back in the swing of things regardless Monday0 -
Sounds like everything I've posted this week!!!
I'm sorry it has been such a crazy week for you.
Be easy on yourself and know your priorities.
I think the best thing you can do is try to take care of yourself!
You want to be feeling as physically well as possible, and the mental part will come together once things settle down.
We're here for you!

Tomorrow is a new day, which gives you a new chance to start over. That is what I tell myself after a bad day or week.0

I like to keep a few cardio workout dvds around the house so when life gets hectic and I can't make it to the gym I can always get a quick convenient workout at home. I'm always less likely to eat bad if I have worked out or know that I'm going to workout later that day. Also, don't let a bump in the road knock you completely off the road. Absorb the bump, stay on the road, and keep plowing ahead.0

Hi there, I am so sorry that you are having such a bad week. You are not alone, I have eaten way worse than normally all week except today I am putting my foot down
Things will get back to normal and you will be back in the swing of things in no time.
Hugs!0 -
Seems like when it rains it pours... seems like many of us have our off days or even weeks at once.
Hope everyone gets back on track real soon (myself included!) :flowerforyou:0 -
Just weighed in for the week and only gained .4 pounds this week... could be worse! :happy:0
