Healthy Option At Restaurants

Options
Hi!

So, my friend is having her birthday at the Casino tonight and we will be eating there somewhere. Because I don't know where we will be eating, does anyone have any recommendations for a generic restaurant order that isn't going to set me back too badly?

Go for tomato based sauces rather than creamy sauces, skip the starter and if you HAVE to have dessert, share it with a friend, try and go for grilled and baked options rather than fried or breadcrumbed, if you're drinking alcohol then go for low calorie options like gin and tonic, avoid the bread basket and try to get something with lots of fresh vegetables.

    Hope this helps :3

If you like fish or seafood, blackened salmon is always a good choice. it's thick (like a steak) and is rich in omega-3 and has no carbs. I would think dinner at the casino would mean a buffet (that's what all the casinos in my area offer). Buffet is nice because your first plate could be a salad which would fill you up a bit more before going back for the more caloric or starchy main courses. Stay away from potatoes if you're counting carbs (like me) and get veggie medley instead. Have fun and choose wisely! :)

You can always get a grilled chicken breast! If theres sauces or bacon, etc.... on it - ask for it to be left off. Im a total pain in the toosh when I go out. I have so many things left off my salads and meals. Its do-able! Just ask!
