Tasty, filling lunch recipes that can be eaten cold... sugge

I'm a trainee teacher so I spend half my time in school and half my time at uni. When I'm at school, there's a microwave (usually) that I can use for my lunches which makes it a little easier in choosing things to have but when I'm at uni, there's no microwave and I struggle to think of tasty lunches that taste just as good cold as I think lots of sauces go funny when they're cold but things aren't so nice dry. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions of things that I could take for lunches that are just as nice cold and that preferably have a decent amount of protein in?

I have this problem with work, we have a microwave but I only get a 10 minute break so struggle to make anything. I've bought a flask and have started taking soup. It's ready, stays warm and I just have it with a couple of slices of bread :)

How about a cous cous or whole wheat pasta salad. Go for a light flavoured oil or light pesto dressing rather than anything involving mayo. You can get ready flavoured cous cous packets, just make up in morning or night before chill. Can go great with salad or chicken for an evening meal too.
  • I eat a cold piece of grilled chicken, cucumbers and carrots with hummus, and greek yogurt. I like cold chicken, so maybe I'm weird but it's a good high protein lunch :).
