I was just wondering if there are any ladies out there on this who have PCOS?
It would be so encouraging to become friends with some ladies who know exactly how hard it is to lose weight despite having it!

I have taken metformin before and it didn't seem to change much. (However, i was 16 at the time) Headed in to see an endo soon though!0

I was diagnosed with PCOS 10+ yrs ago and have struggled with my weight since college. I really didn't embrace the whole diet and exercise thing until a few years ago when I realized that I needed to make some serious changes. I was unhappy and tired all of the time and my family and social life began to suffer because of my unhappiness. I started exercising and eating better and I haven't looked back since. I feel great and all of the terrible side effects of PCOS have since gone away. I even got pregnant this time around without the help of a fertility doctor. You CAN lose weight if you are willing to make some sacrifices. If you need some support please feel free to add me as a friend. Good luck!0

EXCELLENT... KEEP that Endo appointment!
Im in love with my Endo to the point Ive already told her that her husband has no choice, she will be cloned and taken home with me! She is awesome!
Ive got PCOS (no cysts, but totally hormonal! LOL), insulin resistance, and this Endo found a rare metabolic disorder going on with me that she just cant seem to find the right name to fit it with (the AMA loves this - its got them guessing too!)... Im no longer a hormonal 'mess' and almost 70 pounds down..... and another 70lbs to go... I am proof - like many other cysters, you CAN lose the weight but it does rely heavily on your total dedication....0
