I'm too young to die.

Sorry if that's a bit melodramatic, but that's the truth. I'm 33 years old and as of this morning, I weigh 285.5 pounds. I went to the doctor in November because my racing heart woke me up in the middle of the night and I was afraid a heart attach was just around the corner. Long story short, the doctor said it wasn't a matter of IF, but a matter of WHEN. I'm so afraid.
I'm so worried now and I'm noticing every twinge, every heartbeat, every headache, every ache. My blood pressure in November was something like 126/110, which is the first high reading I've ever had in my life.
I'm making some changes to save my life. I will walk an hour every day. I will drink at least 2 liters of water every day. I will avoid processed foods and keep an extra close eye on my sodium intake.
I will do this. Not because I want to fit in a size 8 dress. Not because I want to wear a swimsuit in public. Not because I want to be able to fit in an airplane seat. I will do this because I don't want to die. I refuse to eat myself to death. I am worth it.

I truly know what you mean. I had a heart attack and open heart surgery at the age of 44. I couldn't believe it. I knew that I was over weight, smoked and had diabetes, but I was only 44! Please feel free to add me if you wish.0
