    WOW! I am so excited about all the interest... when it slows down a bit I will update the master list ... and on moday morning I will START A NEW THREAD... in the motivation and support section called: 4TH OF JULY CHALLENGE - WEEK 1

    welcome everyone... so a bit about me...
    I am a grad student ... and I am currently working off all of the fast food I ate in undergrad, I am trying to follow a 'clean eating' lifestyle... with some cheats... (beer and cheese = trouble for me :laugh: ) Anyways the BF and I are buying a house and renovating it .....so I have a lot of great things going on in life.... and i would like my fitness / weight to move in the right direction too!

    I am 25 and just had my first baby 11 months ago and am still trying to get rid of the baby weight... and then some!!! I've recently started running and I hope that speeds up the weight loss!!

    hi,
    I'm a mom of 2 girls, 1 teen and 1 toddler... I'm a Navy wife and domestic engineer....:laugh:
    after the birth of my little one I never quite made it back to my original size and then I quit smoking and it got worse. so I'v e been working hard for the last 5 months and trying to get ready to be in great shape to visit the family back home at the end of July and I really want to become a runner. I've been working on it the last 2.5 months and I am gaining alot. so thats me. I can't wait to meet you all and get this weight moving again.

    A little about myself... I'm a musician living in Nashville TN, but no, I'm not country! I'm in a quirky folk/pop duo. Anyway, trying to slim down, like everyone else here, so I can be in great shape for Summer touring! I'm super tall 5'11" , so my weight goal is a little higher than most!

    Also remember... you want your goal weight to be the goal you hope to reach by the end of the challenge (July 4th) ... and the start weight should be your weight today ... current weight should be the same as your start weight at this point!!! :bigsmile: Thanks guys!!!

    I'd love to join in! :smile: I've had a really tough time lately and this could be the motivation I need! I just got the new EA Sports Active so I will be including that in with my current workouts. I walk/jog on the treadmill every day for 30-45 minutes (in addition to walking our dogs) and do elliptical or stationary bike a couple days a week also. I have a few videos I do occasionally but with the weather getting nicer I try to get outdoors. What are some of the things everyone else is doing?

    This seems like it is going to be a great group.... :flowerforyou: now we have 15 at this point, and I am sure some more will jump in... At this point I think we should decide if we just want to focus on weight loss or if we should make mini goals for the week... for example... we all need to consume all of our water each day... or we need to try a new workout... etc. etc. what do you ladies think? I want this group to be as motivational as possible... but don't feel like you have to post everyday... Thursday weigh in is the only 'mandatory' check in...:tongue:

    I want in! I am feeling really motivated today to make the month of June a good one. I've been at a bit of a standstill lately and need to kick things up a bit.

    Current weight: 217
    Goal weight by July 4th: 205


    Then after July 4th, we can make a labor day challenge to keep things going! :smile:
