I feel like a am constantly asking for guidance from you guys but I'm having yet another bad day!!!
Today is my weigh in day and despite of being extra good with my calorie intake and commencing the 30-day shred 3 days ago I have gained 1lb when compared to last week!!! Am I expecting things to happen to quickly? eating the wrong things? Would my sudden increase in water intake be the concern, previously I drank VERY little?
Not sure if this is a cause but I had the contraceptive implant fitted nearly two years ago and have since gained nearly two stone. I am having this removed in February but was just wondering if this is preventing me from losing weight?
Any guidance, support or constructive comments more than welcomed, I have opened my diary for you all to view

So is there anything Anaria can do until her implant is removed? I think she is looking for some guidance here. Sorry I don't know anything about the implant to help her.0 -
your diary generally looks good, just make sure you meet your cal goals, your net is a bit below your goal most days. if you dont have much to lose, you should have your goal set for 0.5-1lb per week loss so 1200 seems a little low, did MFP give you that level or did you set it manually?
if you have recently started exercising, your muscles could be retaining water. I would advise taking measurements, so you can also track your progress by inches lost as some weeks the scale will not shift!
the implant could affect your weight, i had the depo injections for years and found it a lot harder to lose weight while on it.0 -
A contraceptive implant will not make it impossible for you to lose weight. There are so many factors as to why you may not be losing weight, but are impossible to pin point here.
Fluctuations of 1-5 would probably be completely normal in your case. I wouldn't worry about it too much, unless you have been slacking on your diet or exercise. If you have just make sure this next week you get back to the plan0 -
To be honest, you diary looks pretty good. i get the impression you arent a big fan of breakfast?
Maybe try and mix up your work outs, but i think the main thing is to be patient, you didnt put the weight on in a week, and you wont lose it in a week either. i know its frustrating when you dont see the numbers you want on the scales, but this is a long term lifestyle change, so you just have to remember that you're in it for the longrun!
good luck!0 -
Sorry, I only saw the increase in activity, increase in water intake, and the suspision of lack of patience.0

Perhaps try balancing some of your calories more to the morning and lunch. Your metabolism works more slowly in the evening and that's when you tend to intake the largest amount of calories.0

Thank you for your response, I originally had a cal goal of 1400 but manually reduced in the hope to see a change, following your advice I will return to my originally goals.
It sounds like time and perseverance is needed!!0 -

Your impression is correct, I really struggle to eat breakfast and assumed something is better than nothing.
Patience unfortunately isn't one of my strong points but I guess I am going to have to learn. Thanks for your reply.0 -

I'm not the best at this but ur diary doesnt have sugar tracked and seems to have yogurts & puddings--I've found these things have a lot of sugars in them. Watch the sugar it killed me last year0

You can add sugar tracking in ur settings0

If your body was in a constant state of dehydration before you started drinking more water, it needs some time to rebalance your water levels before it will start loosing weight.
It needs to learn to trust you again that you will supply it with enough water rather then just giving it some and then neglecting it again0 -

Thanks ... OMG How much???
Sugar definitely tracked from now on!!!0 -
When you start lifting weights your muscles need water to recover. Lots of people gain water weight when they start lifting. Just keep drinking your water and it will come right in the end.0
