Don't feel like eating over 3000 calories.

With my exercise today MFP says I need to eat over 3000 calories. I really really don't want to do that but I don't want to eat too few calories either. Would staying at around 1700 calories actually be that bad for me? That's my BMR -1000...

Why not save those cals for use for later in the week if you don't want to eat them today? That's what my stomach prefers.0

I would suggest planning when you know you are going to have a big workout -- eat extra calories in ADVANCE of the workout, in order to store energy.
When I ride a century (100-mile ride), I will burn over 4000 calories in 5-6 hours of riding. I will eat some of those calories over 3 days before the event, and the remainder on the day of the event and the day after as a recovery/refueling day.

Don't eat them all. I don't. I just end up with a negative net calories. Been working! You'll see greater weightloss as long as you don't put your body into starvation mode. In my case I can't eat under 1200 and between 1200-1400 seems to be what I need.0
