My name is Mackenzie (my friends all call me Mack) I am 25 and live in Phoenix, AZ. I played softball in college and ever since I graduated I started to slowly pack on the pounds. I decided that it was time to get back into shape. So, in March I began a 13 week running program to jump start my weight loss and began watching everything I ate. Since I began this new lifestyle I have lost a total of 17 pounds, but recently it has felt like I have plateaued (sp?). Hopefully this challenge will give me the motivation to get over this hump!

Okay Ladies... I am off for the weekend (camping) so needless to say I will be MIA for a few... anyways I will be back on Monday to check in with everyone... just in case you missed my earlier post here is the deal... :flowerforyou:
MONDAY: I will start a new thread to start off the official WEEK 1 - it will be located in this section (Motivation and Support) called 4th OF JULY CHALLENGE - WEEK 1.... In the new thread I will put the most recent copy of the master list, so PLEASE check to make sure you are on it, and that the info is correct... or that you are not on it twice :laugh:
THURSDAY is the first weigh in... hopefully everyone will still be with us!!! at that point you can copy the most recent list and update your CW... try and make sure you get the most recent list so that we don't leave people out or their updates!
Other than that I will try to check in and chat as much as possible... motivation and fun is the name of the game... remember this is a lifestyle change so it is not all about the LBs... any positive changes you make during this challenge are a big step... so feel free to tell us all about it!!!! :bigsmile: WELCOME!0 -

i have been fiddling with MFP from about a month or so now, but have a hard time keeping up with my daily food intake once i'm away from a computer. i didn't think much about keeping up with it, until i saw a photo that my husband took of me and my daughter yesterday at her kindergarten graduation...O M G! so it's now time to get serious about the weight loss and this challenge is just what i need.

Oh, and about me... I'm 25, trying to get back to where I was last july (yikes) when i was in probably the best shape of my life. I recently quit weight watchers because I couldn't afford it anymore so I think this site is great since it's almost exactly the same (without the points).

A little about myself. I joined mfp a while ago but I haven't really been trying because I wasn't motivated. Well I am now motivated because I just had my 41st birthday and DON'T like the pictures. My ultimate goal is to take off 95 lbs by my birthday next year (May 2010).

I am in for this. Don't think I can lose a whole ten pounds due to I hit the time where it is still coming off but slowed to 1 pound a week. And I am okay with that. So I am thinking for 5 or 6 pounds but will aim for 10.0
