Could really use snack ideas, especially between dinner and bedtime. What do you have when you feel you need something to get by.

    I love Frosty fruits - they are low in cals and very refreshing on hot summer nights! Or freeze diet cordial!!

    I am a nana, too...right now to 1 :) mom to 6....

    I like to mix protein in with some carbs, pick one... apple and low fat string cheese, apple and 1 tbl peanutbutter, hardboiled egg with piece of fruit, special k with skim milk, nature valley granola bar with 4oz skim milk (when I want something sweet and crunchy), baby carrots with 1tb dip, oatmeal, piece of fruit with 10 almonds, atkins protein shake if I am super busy and can't get a proper snack....

    These are all 150-200 calories and help get me thru snack time :)

    Sugar free jelly pots (only 10 cals for a big pot / 5 for a small one)

    I find them a life saver in the evenings - great mixed with a broken up merangue nest and/or low cal yogurt

    I have a lot of ideas. No sugar added tapioca (KozyShack brand) 70 calories, add fresh cut strawberries or blueberries. Delicious and you feel like you are getting something! Or celery with cheese (those little triangle ones that have 35 calories apiece) - I forget the brand. Or an apple sliced with 1 tbsp. peanut butter. I generally try to find something that takes a while to eat, as I live alone and evenings are the worst for me. Or sometimes I just go to bed!

    100 calorie popcorn is my usual go to in the evening. Sometimes I do a cheese stick. If I have a lot of calories left I do pretzel crisps and a laughing cow cheese wedge.

    what i find really fills me up and takes away a craving for chocolate is hot cocoa. don't use the nesquik powder mix stuff though- i cup milk, >1tsp sugar and however much cocoa u need (it's like 20 cal/tbsp!). i usually save these calories for that evening/bedtime snack because it fills me up nicely and is yummy.

    1/2 banana chopped into small pieces (50 kcal)
    3 tblsp reddi whip fat free whip cream (or similar) (5 kcal per 2 tbsp)
    1 serving Sugar Free pudding, flavor of your choice(60 kcal per serving)

    mix all for a pretty fantastic parfait
    117 total kcal

    sometimes when I am really needy and I have the calories left for the day I will double the portions.
    you could also add a favorite granola cereal for crunch if you like.

    I usually don't snack between dinner and bed - I just try to drink water but if that isn't enough I eat an apple.

    Greek yogurt with puffed Kamut
    Hard boiled egg whites
    Pretzels with peanut butter
    Cottage cheese with pretty much anything (fruit, veggies, cereal, etc)

    last night i chopped up sweet carrot and one apple with some pomegranate..
    or grill some pineapple with a tiny little bit of maple syrup on top and chop it up with some apple. i then put in some sesame seeds , and nibble on them also

    Cottage cheese is great for snacking before bed because it digests slowly. Add a little cracked pepper to it and enjoy. (If you like cottage cheese, of course!) I sometimes eat a few nuts before bed if I am out of cc.

    I found Fiber Now cereal at Aldi's. It is 15 grams of fiber per serving. To me it is a guilt free snack as it is so high in fiber I know it just passes through. I use it to make a trail mix with dried fruits, dry roasted peanuts and pretzels. The cereal is the primary ingredient though. I also use it to top my yogurt if I want some crunch. I enjoy the Fit and Active vanilla yogurt mixed with some fresh fruit too.

    Thanks for these great ideas! I've been wondering what to snack on too. We eat dinner kind of early (around 4 or 5 pm), and by the time I go to bed at 10 or 11, I'm hungry again. Also two weeks out of the month, I take chemo pills that I absolutely have to take with food or I would be totally sick. In the morning it's fine. I take them with breakfast, but at night, I basically have to eat again around 8 or 9 pm.

    I was good last night. My daughter made a red velvet cake, and I had literally one forkful of it, then proceeded to eat my whole wheat toast with peanut butter and sliced apple on top.

    Salads are good, my cousin uses wish bone spray salad dressings they are 15 calories for 10 sprays. She is also on my page her name is tara draayer she is great to have also.
