Wow. Go, David! Kickin' some butt!

Looking at all of your mileage, I know some of you are probably training for a race. What kinda races are you training for?

Edit: I am training for a half marathon on February 19th and it will be my first!

Welcome!

My mileage is a bit low right now but should pick up soon. I have 2 half marathons and a full this year.
    Feb. 11 - half marathon (#4)
    April 1 - half marathon (#5)
Oct 28 - full marathon (my first!)

I am TECHNICALLY training...but I have no races scheduled. Life is really crazy for me right now...and planning a race would add to my stress.

Besides...I have discovered that I'm actually a better solo runner. Crowds freak me out.

Since the whole point of running is stress RELIEF...right now the only person I am competing against is me. :)

I'm not technically training yet. I believe I start at the end of the month :)
I'll be running my first marathon in April in hilly, hilly Gettysburg, PA.

Sounds fun. Does this include tickets to the Indianapolis 500 as well?
I'm training for my first full marathon on May 6th - The New Jersey Marathon.
    Are you excited? nervous?
I'm doing my first half in May!!
I'm doing my first one in February! Where are you doing yours?
I'm training, and beginning to taper, for the Tinkerbell Half Marathon (my 1st) at Disneyland in 2 weeks!
That sounds like so much fun. Are you dressing up? Any fairy wings?
That's so exciting! I want to do a half at some point this year too! I better get online and get registered so I don't back out this time.
That is what it took for me to not back out of it. It gives you a definite goal.

That's a great goal. I kinda wish that I had done some shorter ones first, but I always seem to jump in with both feet.

My first half, in May, is in Olympia, WA. Every year I watch the runners go by our house, and every year I say I really need to do this. Well this is my year, it falls on my birthday too!

Good luck to everyone, the list of races is fantastic!!

1/17 = 3.5mi Ran too much for my body the last two weeks, so took a couple days off.
Besides...I have discovered that I'm actually a better solo runner. Crowds freak me out.

This is me, too. The crowds, parking, etc. just aren't my thing. My goal is to do a Half this year, but on my own, like my 10k last fall.
