I have lost right at 60 lbs over the past year due to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and eating a lot better. I weigh 185 pounds now and would like to get down to about 172 of solid muscle. I'm now in my second week of P90X and will let you guys know how it goes. It's a tough program, but well worth the effort if I apply myself like I know I can. I'm currently working out 7 days a week, which is tough but worth it all. Keep up the good work guys and glad to hear all the weight loss success.

You're working out too much, though, there will be limited return when you work out every day. Give yourself at least one day, if not two, per week to let your body rest. You will stop losing weight and stop gaining muscle if you overtrain. Just learned that lesson myself, didn't think I was overtraining, I was enjoying myself... then I dropped for 4 days and was exhausted. I had to let my body rest. Trainers at the gym told me I was overtraining, it's easy to do, but it's not good for your body.0

I appreciate the helpful comments, which always helps with these things. I wish you all the best with your weight loss goals, but remember that exercise and life change is the only way to truly keep off the weight. I really thought it was strange when one comment said “you go girl” I’m not a female, but have no clue on how to change the thing from female to male. This may account for the reason why it has me listed at taking in 1200 calories a day, which is insane, by the way. Good luck and best wishes.0
