Suggestions for a Vegetable Slicer?

I hope this thread is in the right place. Please let me know if you know of a better place to ask.:)

I'm looking for a good vegetable slicer. I need one that can dice onions (since that's what I do most of), and that lasts for a decent amount of time. I'd really prefer to get persona recommendations of products that people have used and liked, since online reviews seem to vary alarmingly.

    I use the Vidalia Chop Wizard. I love it. I got it at Walgreens several years ago.

    I LOVED my Vidalia Chop Wizard! I received it as a gift in 2007 and it finally wore out last year. I used it constantly - made very short work of homemade salsa, and veggies for salads and soups. I usually cut onions into 6 wedges to get it to go through the Chop Wizard easily. The plastic hinge part eventually broke on mine and I replaced it with one very similar made by Progressive, because it came with an extra slicing (as opposed to only dicing) tray that works great for slicing eggs, strawberries, and such. I would highly recommend either one.
