Strength training?

What kinds of exercise are considered strength training on MFP? I thought for sure that pushups would be considered part of strength training, but they are listed in cardio under calisthenics, general.

Anything that builds muscle is strength training. For you calorie count always use the cardio section because the strength section won't give you any calorie reduction, its just for keeping track.0

Generally, anything that uses resistance would be considered strength training. However, even strength training is listed under cardio because people want to track the calories burned during training (if you log under strength training it doesn't calculate cals burned).0
