Scion
Anyone know (maybe you know someone who sells Scions, or you bought one) if Scion's "Pure Pricing" means the price is really not negotiable at all? I know that certain companies (Electrolux, John Deer, etc.) have a police where the retailer cannot alter the selling price in any way. I didn't think this existed with cars, but who knows!?:grumble: I'm getting close to buying one and want to get the best deal I can. Let me know if you know anything about "Pure Pricing" Thank you!!

Thanks... I've read that before. Just wondering if it truly means that you CANNOT haggle or not. It says:
Scion's goal from the start was to change the conventions of the auto industry. We set out to create an affordable, unique and sophisticated vehicle. We wanted to create a new environment for people to purchase a car in - the kind of place where you're not sold a car, but rather where you would go to buy a car. Simple, straightforward and convenient - that's Pure Price.
Here's how it's done: Scion's Pure Price purchase experience means no haggle, no hassle. The price you pay for all products and services offered equals the dealership's posted and advertised price. Price menus are clearly posted in the dealership showroom for all products and services.
Just wondering if it's not allowed, or if it's just supposed to be "straightforward and convenient" Is it not allowed or just "not necessary"? People have been telling me that they aren't going let you walk out the door if you say "nope- I really need the price about 500 cheaper" (for example). So, basically you're haggling. Just didn't know if anyone had any experience with this? Thanks :flowerforyou:0 -
Your best option is probably just to call a dealership up and ask. The worst thing they can say is no.0

We are looking to trade in for something with 3rd row seating. I saw one I liked online and called and they couldnt tell me a price. I hate when delaers do that on used. Drives me nuts. For me the bottom line is the monthly payment but still I want to know so I can compare prices and get the most vehivle for my money ya know?0

Yeah, thats all it says on ANY scion sites, so your best bet would be to call and ask, or just go and look and see what they say, you may be pleasantly surprised0
