snake oil.
You're here on MFP that does work, give it accurate height, weight, gender... tell it how fast you want to lose weight (be realistic with your rate IE if you're within 30 lbs of your goal you probably shouldn't choose more than a pound a week and even half a pound may be more realistic)
Get your calories, exercise, log it, eat your exercise calories and profit. No money required.0 -
Waste of health.0
-
No, and I won't ever use them
I don't believe that they help and maybe they are dangerous for your health. You just need to eat right and be patient.0 -
Hi, I tried Adios a while back but it didn't help me, yet I know people took them and they were fab!
I hear people talking about P90x, what is that?0 -
I've tried a few diet pills and I'm not longer a fan of them.
I did Slimquick and lost 60 lbs, but as soon as I stopped taking them I gained 80 lbs. I did the Ally (or Alli) pills and those made me so sick! If you go on the internet and read the horror stories associated with that certain pill you will know why.
If you decide to take a diet pill do research on it first and make sure you understand all of the side effects involved and combine it with a good healthy diet and exercise. :flowerforyou:0 -
p90x is a workout i think which comes with equipment but its expensive0

They are a waste of time, money and effort. I know from experience I have tried them before and yea sure they work but when you stop taking them here comes the weight again. To lose weight you have to change your lifestyle and stick with it. Good luck0

ah I see - thanks!0

Don't waste your money. There are no magic pills out there to make you lose weight. Trust me! I've tried every single pill out there. Healthy eating and exercise ARE the magic pills.0

All diet pills are is poison. I don't think quick fixes work anyways or everyone would be skinny. its takes alot of counting and sweat to really get the body you want. P90X is a home workout system. I use it for my workout. Yes it is expensive as an upfront cost. BUT, It is cheaper than a year long gym membership, and you have p90x for as long as you take care of it.0

you can get discount p90x on craigslist !! I only paid 30 bucks0

i have tried several before as a quick fix, only all of them but one was a waste of time... the only one that worked for me was metasys.. which is a green tea capsule, but as everyone says... its about changin your eating habbits and your mindset.. or the tablets in the end a waste of time too coz as soon as you stop them, the weight piles back on before you know0

Fish oil is a natural supplement that can help with metabolism but the majority of weight loss pills are a waste of money and can casue major side effects!0

Oxy Elite Pro is great..... but its true really execise and good eating it the way to go!0

i did alli for a wile, and along with exsersize and diet it did help boost my weight loss, but i also got migranes from time to time with them. i have tryed a lot of other pills, suplamints, teas, ect to boost wieght loss and it was the only that helped and dint make me feel like my heart was about to pop out of my chest, or my guts where tieing them selve in knots. and after im done breastfeeding i plan on takeing it again at least until the migrains come back....lol0

I tried Alli because my doctor recommended it and I hated it. Had a really bad side effect. Kinda gave me the runs. Ive talked to other ppl who have tried it and they had the same effect. Plus its expensive, $60 bucks a bottle and I dont think it even helped. Like others have said I would just stick to healthy eating & exercise.0

IMO, taking diet pills is like smoking crack. It will get you skinny but do you really want to do all that damage to your body.
Diet pills are for lazy people who do not want to moderate their nutritional intake or exercise.0 -
You can put meth in capsuls..0

I think diet pills are definitely a waste of money especially in the long run. A better approach as mentioned by a few others would be eating healthy, exercising and tracking here on MVP. Diet pills will work but once you stop there is a chance that you will gain the weight back or double it, not to mention all the chemicals that you are adding to your body.0

brace yourself...this could get ugly. general consensus on MFP is that diet pills are bad. I agree.
Use MFP correctly (log, log, log) and exercise. Guaranteed success.
Good luck!0 -
I asked the same thing on here months back and I never took a diet pill and I'm glad I didn't. It's something un-natural that you are putting in your body and you hear horror stories about what it can do to you. The best thing that will work for you is to continue to exercise and eat healthy. There is no quick fix or long lasting fix other than those two things. Just keep working hard at it and you'll get where you want to be.0

I even know a chiropractor that is taking it and selling it and he also went to college for nutrition and health or whatever it was... but if it was bad i know he sure wouldnt be using it!! one product they have is a pill called xyng.. It helps with energy forsure... I don't even have cravings for soda anymore!! Great feeling also haven't had headaches since I started taking it!!0

I would never try diet pills i have the herbalife shkes and a meal in the evening which is working well for me and i have joined a zumba class to help ith exercising correctly0

I know a lot of people says they are a waste but I have had great results using Viper (fat burner) + women's Multivitamin from G-Powerworks. All my weight lifting buddies stand by this product as well. You HAVE to eat something with them and you Have to exercise 30 minutes after taking them.
The one thing to remember is there is no healthy quick fix to loosing weight. It's a process and no pill will help you loose weight alone. It takes a life style change of eating right and exercise.
I hope this helps.0 -
One time I worked at an answering service and my co-worker and I used to work evening shifts alone. We were both overweight and had the bright idea to try green tea pills. We ended up taking like 4 our first shift. She was bouncing off the walls peeing every 10 minutes and I was on the floor rolling around alternating between panic and laughter with my skin all flushed and my heart in my throat. We both have anxiety, and we both overdid it, and that's my only experience with diet pills. Sooo funny to look back on us rolling around like fools in that office with the phone ringing off the hook... next time you call a taxi cab or a doctor after-hours picture us on the other line.
What did work for her was diet and exercise. And it's working for me too!0 -
Do not waste your time. In the end they all have recalls and are proven to be bad on your body. I take a multivitamin and it is awesome. It is designed for women who diet and exercise. It is called Women's One A Day Active. It helps speed up your metabolism and gives you energy and all the vitamin's your body needs. I have been taking it for several months and love it. You can also purchase the wal-mart brand for like 4.97 which is a great price.0

Diet pills are a waste of money, but more importantly, they can damage your health. I've tried them....never again!
Diet and exercise (lifestyle changes) are the only things that work and keep working.
If it came in a pill, everyone would be thin.0
