I am looking at detoxing my body, because I have been feeling so bloated lately. Does anyone have any ideas on foods, smoothie recipes or juices that detox that body??? I just feel like pure crap, I have to get rid of this feeling....... Feel free to send me any friend requests too!!

Thanks :)

  • I am starting the Body Ecology Diet (again) and it is awesome for detoxing the entire body slowly...but it makes your energy levels increase dramatically. Last time I felt worse for a couple of days and after that the pounds just melted off and my house was always clean. It can be a hard diet, but all of my family has food allergies so I was already used to most of the restrictions. It may be worth looking into! I just sent you a friend request too :)

No need to torture yourself with a 'detox'. Just eat a healthy diet with lots of yummy fruits, veggies, poly and monounsaturated fats, quality proteins and carbs. Mix in a bit of exercise, and you should be good-as-gold soon.

If you absolutely have to detox, then a simple, 24-hour fast should 'rest' your digestive system and allow your GI, liver, and kidneys time to detox without any extra help from you. (I actually don't believe fasting is necessary... but a short fast is harmless and can sometimes be mentally/emotionally/spiritually and possibly even physically beneficial).

My dr told me that our bodies naturally get rid of toxins in our systems. No need to detox. :-) Just eat healthy and get some good exercise in, and you will not feel as bloated.
  • Camomile Tea is BRILLIANT!!! It releases any trapped wind, debloats you, calms your stomach and tastes good too!! AND its caffiene free :)) Deffo worth a try, I swear by it as I suffer from IBS and really struggling with eating carbs xxx

    trapped wind!? Bahahahaha

    Thanks for that laugh.....

Your kidneys and liver probably do a fine job. Just drink some water and eat well. No need for a "detox"

Agree with the no need for a detox. Our bodies are amazingly efficient at doing that on their own given you're putting quality foods in the system. Lots of water, lots of green veggies, reduce sodium, profit.

Drink a cup of warm lemon water first thing in the morning give yourself at least 15 min before you eat anything. I did this the first 2 weeks and lost 4lbs.
