I just have to get up and move when I hear "Party ROck Anthem" , "Sexy and I know it", and "I'm in Miami, B****", by LMFAO.

And I always get pumped up when I hear "Faint" by Linkin Park. :)

"Sky's The Limit" by Lil' Wayne is a good motivation song.

I've just discovered that Good Feeling song by Flo Rida. It's a pretty good workout song.
  • Black metal is a good motivator. Behemoth, Satyricon, Dimmu Borgir, etc. Also things like Hatebreed & FFDP. If it makes me want to mosh it makes me want to run.

NPR just posted a list of listeners' favorite workout songs, if you're interested: http://www.npr.org/2012/01/13/145185920/the-ultimate-npr-workout-mix?sc=fb&cc=fmp

I like to feel like I'm in a rave or a club when I'm working out, so i can lose myself in the music. One of my favorites now is Jump! by Cerla and Manian.

    No I'll stand my ground
    Won't be turned around
And I'll keep this world from draggin' me down
    Gonna stand my ground

Tom Petty knows how to say it best.

But for a workout song that can really get me going, Vast, Touched. I don't even know all the words, it's just the way it's put together that's liable to drive me to a massive coronary. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8S_R13jV11Q
  • Billy Idol. Dancing With Myself. And Queen's Don't Stop Me Now. Those get me goin on the treadmill every time, lol.

My partner has depression, sometime it gets really bad and hes very low, sometimes he wants to talk whilst i listen sometimes he wants lifting up with my words of wisdom.

I always find no matter how bad it gets that life really does go on and i always tell him (or anyone feeling the same) in the wise words of Wilson Phillips

" i know that there is pain,
but you hold on for one more day
    Break free from the chains"

"dont you know things will change
    things will go your way
if you hold on for one more day
    things will go your way"

In other words, when you feel life has got too much and you think theres nothing left, you really never know whats around the corner. I very much belive this, our destiny is not written and your fate can change in an instant :)

Also i love Lynard Skynards freebird,

    If I leave here tomorrow
    Would you still remember me?
For I must be traveling on, now
'Cause there's too many places I've got to see
But, if I stayed here with you, girl
Things just couldn't be the same
'Cause I'm as free as a bird now
And this bird you can not change
And this bird you can not change
And this bird you can not change
    Lord knows, I can't change

Bye, bye, baby it's been a sweet love
Though this feeling I can't change
But please don't take it so badly
'Cause Lord knows I'm to blame
But, if I stayed here with you girl
Things just couldn't be the same
'Cause I'm as free as a bird now
And this bird you can not change
And the bird you can not change
And this bird you can not change
    Lord knows, I can't change
Lord help me, I can't change

    Lord I can't change
Won't you fly, free bird, yeah
