Calorie change or no?

Hello ladies and gents,
I'm currently eating 1200 a day. It's lost me 2kg in the past 3 weeks (total loss is 11 kg since before Christmas), and I've noticed my weight loss has slowed down. This can be for one of two reasons.
1. After my recent bout of tonsillitis and staying in bed to recover, I simply need to walk more in order to get things going again.
2. I'm used to the 1200 diet and need a calorie change.
What do you think about this?
Edit: I was hoping to lose 2lbs a week.

To be perfectly honest - we can't really cope with less that 1200 cals a day.
Maybe try changing the types of food that you eat?! I think that being in bed recovering will have slowed down the weight loss - so when you are fit and healthy again - crack on back to the exercise and your weight loss will start again :-) x0 -
Try going up a couple of hundred, maybe? Odd but it can work. Throw in some walking, too, but eat those calories back.0

Bodybuilders typically tend to favour 'cheat days' - your body will get used to running on the calories that it gets - kick starting the metabolism could be helpful.0

Your body is just getting used to the change in diet and so is slowing your weight loss, but this doesn't mean you have stopped loosing weight all together! This is the wall everyone hits and most give up at this point, don't worry and keep going!
Maybe one thing you could change is try a new exercise routine, a new dance class that will change the muscles and areas worked.0 -

2k over 3 weeks is still a loss of 1lb a week - What is your weekly target loss set at?0 -
It's hard to comment without knowing what your diet consists of;
Though I really wouldn't go below 1200 cals unless you want to place your body in starvation mode.
I would say switching your diet around for a couple of weeks could well be the way forward, so if you are presently eating quite high carbs (50%+) then try and switchh this around to eating more protein, especially at breakfast.0 -
I'd suggest finding out what your BMR is and eat that amount of calories a day... guaranteed to be more than 1200. The BMR is the amount of calories your body needs to function with doing nothing... sitting down or laying in bed all day. I have started that and it's working otu great for me.0
