NEED SUPPORT!!!

I guess it's support that I need, or distraction or SOMETHING! I have become OBSESSED with the scale, it's been this way for almost a year and I need to to stop! I am on my home stretch trying to lose about 5 more lbs and tone, but I promised myself I would lay OFF the scale and stick to weighing once a week (tuesday mornings). This is day one of not weighing myself and I am actually antsy, like it is driving me insane not knowing how much I weigh RIGHT now!

    Try this then. Just don't weigh for the next hour. Then in an hour, don't weigh yourself but say you might weigh an hour after that and so on gradually increasing the times between promises.

    If the urge to weigh gets too overwhelming then just do it but gradually reduce your weighing each week from 7 days down to 6 down to 5 etc.,

    Ultimately, weighing yourself is not causing harm to you or anybody else - other than your own mental battle with the need to do it on a daily basis so if it keeps you sane, do it.

    Put the scale away in an inconvenient place so it takes more time and effort and it's not right there in the bathroom or wherever every time you walk in there. Like a high shelf in the garage that you need a ladder to get. And when you feel the urge, you can talk yourself out of it in the time it will take to go get it.
  • Thanks! I put it in the cubord so I just don't see it. So far so good, I haven't weighed myself, and keep telling myself "I feel good, I feel light, I know I'm sticking to working out and eating under my calories, there is NO NEED to weigh myself!"

    my obsession is : I don't weigh everyday (I don't think lol) but when I weigh, I dont just stand on it once. I step on it about 3-6 times. lol. Not sure why. just wanna see if the number stays the same. and If i dont like it, I move the scale around the bathroom. haha This is why I'm glad I joined WW.....their scales are accurate Lol
  • lol I've SOOOO moved it around the room before! HA! Well I'm doing good, I haven't weighed today!!! I just did my work out and feel GREAT! I feel GREAT, I've been sticking to everything all week and really feel wonderful today!!
