Whiplash = no gym time?

So I was in a car accident a week and a half ago. I was pretty beat up and I was told that I have whiplash. My back hurts, my neck hurts my shoulders hurt... you get the idea. Even being up and walking around seems to aggravate things. I am frustrated because all I want to do is hit the gym, but my body says "couch". I am supposed to do physical therapy, I am trying to find a place that will work with my work schedule, but does any one have suggestions to help me burn a few extra calories without beating my self up more?

I'm no expert...
But would something like a recumbent bike get you moving without much impact? Or even something like yoga or pilates?
You could always just do some light arm strengthening exercises with cans of soup while sitting on the couch...0 -
I am an expert. I am a Chiropractor and I see whiplash injuries every day. PT is ok but you need to see a Chiropractor. A good DC can have yo back at the gym and feeling better before yo know it.0
