If i were better at napping, I'd be a chronic napper. Takes me an hour to fall asleep and then I need at least an hour of sleep.

Naps? Just how long can a nap be? 1 or 2 or 3 hrs cuz when i call myself napping I sleep for 5 to 6 hrs at a time. LOL

My normal sleep cycle is about 1 1/2 hours, so my normal nap is either 1 1/2 hours (3 or 4 1/2 if I'm recovering from jet lag). Most people say a nap shouldn't get into deep sleep, but for me, that is the best rest. I don't nap unless I can get a full cycle in.

I love to nap! But... when I nap it's like a whole nother sleep session... 4-6 hour naps lol

Sounds like you also have to go through a set of sleep cycles when you nap. You could set an alarm at 1 1/2 to 2 hours and come out of it feeling better.

I loooove naps. When I'm lacking in energy, nothing feels better than a nap. Some days, that's all that will set me right when I'm feeling energy-less.

Only after a long run - 10 miles or more. Im so tired after my shower that an hour in bed is just the ticket.

I lie and tell everybody I have important work to do, then nap from 1:30pm until 3pm -- LOVE IT!

Oh my yes! Naps are great when I can get one in - must be on the couch, with my dog. A quick 30-60 mins usually does me just fine.

I may try to get one in tonight actually ;)
  • oh meeeeeeee..i could not get through my days and stay sane and not commit some heinous crime unless most days i have a nana nap..sometimes all i need is to just lay there and doze off and bam although i want to sleep more its enough. Naps are the most awesome invention ever imo XD

I read a lot and sometimes I just fall asleep over my book. I guess that counts as naps. But I shouldn't, really, because it always gives me a headache and makes me feel slightly nauseous. Which is stupid because if it happens, I'm usually in bed. I sleep there all night so why doesn' that make me feel bad, then?

My girl likes to nap much more than I do. The other thing is I dont sleep very much at night, so occasionally I need a quick nap, even just 5 min

Whenever possible. In fact if I sit still long enough the nap monster sneaks up behind me an chloroforms me.

i love a nap, but it must be on the sofa, i can't nap in bed unless i'm ill, but just put me on the sofa with some lame daytime tv (murder she wrote or similar) and its bliss just to nod off for a couple of hours

most definitely! After working til 2 am, sometimes later (6 am) this morning... and always getting up by 9 or 10, I usually have an hour or 2 nap around 4 or so

I wish I could. If I take a nap it ends up being two hours of my day down the tubes. If I could do a ten or twenty minute power nap and be ok, then I definitely would.
  • MAJOR napper! Mornings, afternoons, then sleep all night lol

My body just doesn't nap. I think my mom told me even when I was a baby I wasn't big on naps. But I'm starting to now, just because my work schedule is so weird. There are days I work from 7:00a-12:30p, so I come home and have lunch, nap, go to the gym, have dinner, then go back to work from about 5:30p-11:00p. If I don't nap, I just can't get through my day.

Not unless I'm sick. If I nap on a normal day, I'll have a hard time falling asleep later that night.
  • guilty. anytime I have a day off, I have an afternoon nap, and some days that I don't have off. I just love getting all cozy in bed. It's annoying sometimes because I fall asleep so easily that I do it sometimes when I don't mean to.

I have to have a nap every day. In fact, I plan my college schedule to allow time for afternoon naps (1.5 hours) in between classes!

Used to be. Daily 2-3 hrs, but I was always exhausted. Since cleaning up what I eat and starting to work out, I'm just not tired anymore. Which is a huge accomplishment for me!

I used to take naps when I stayed at home with my kids when they were toddlers. It was kind of nice. Now I have tried every once in a while if I am really beat, but I can not shut my mind off to do it....I think about what I should be or could be getting done if I was not laying down....so I end up getting up and forgetting the nap.
  • I loooooove naps. I'm trying to break the habit of napping in the afternoon now and instead use that time to ride an exercise bike
