Trying to find new recepies to change everything about my cooking habits (ie convenience food/frozen). Was wondering what do you use most and any great recipes you can pass on to a hopeless cook.

Mine is eggs, I make a lot of omletes, scrambled egg etc.

I keep my meals pretty basic since I don't have time to spend cooking. My favorite is eggs like you. My husband always complains :grumble: when I make eggs, bacon, and toast for dinner, but it's a nutritious, complete, and quick meal. My kids like it too. Alternatively, I eat a lot of chicken - buy the fresh boneless, skinless chicken breasts. Options: 1) brown for five minutes on each side and then cook for 30 minutes; 2) boil and then cube for a chicken salad sandwich (chopped celery, onion, red grapes, nuts, mayo); 3) boil and then make a chicken BLT sandwich. Option 1 I serve with brown rice and a veggie, options 2 and 3 I eat with a salad or soup. Good luck in the kitchen!

Chicken hands down here. High protein, low fat, and cheap. I usually buy a couple of whole chickens and put them in my counter top roaster @ 250 F for about 4 hours. It just falls of the bone. I put that in the fridge to use in whatever I want. I use it a lot in a wheat wrap. Or mix it up with a handful of mixed veggies. Its endless. Tacos? BBQ pulled chicken?

Chicken, broccolini and probably flaxseed oil are my top ones. I use these everyday. I use the flaxseed to make my own salad dressing, or to simply drizzle over my food.
