calf muscle injury

hey all,
wasn't sure which category this best fell under but....has anyone experienced injury to their calf muscle(s)? After some research I'm pretty sure I've strained my inner calf muscle on one leg. I'm also certain it's a result of the 'pop' i heard why in spin class yesterday. i've read a couple of articles that have related this kind of strain to not being on a properly fitted bike. This would make sense in my case as I was one of the last to get to class and had to take a male formed bike rather than the female. Couldn't get it set up to fit me quite right. anyway, my question is..... if you've had a similar injury, how long did it take to recover?
i've been icing it off and on and will probably take today for rest...but i'm really frustrated because i've been on a great exercise kick and if it'll take a couple of weeks to recover that's really going to throw me off! i don't think it's too serious because i'm walking on it (not super comfortably) but it's very sensitive to touch and i really notice it when weight is on my heel or moving my foot up and down. any thoughts/suggestions/advice? thanks!!!

If it is the inner part of the lower calf muscle then it is the soleus. I strained mine twice last year. Your symptoms sound the same as mine. I kept running on it (painfully) and it took about a week to heal.
The best thing to do is probably rest for a couple of days and see how it feels. If it is getting better then light exercise is probably ok . . . but stop if the pain starts getting intense. You don't want it to pop again.
I used heat on mine instead of ice.0 -

I actually just got over something similar. I bought one of these: http://www.sportsauthority.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3433256&cp=3077568.3077641.2886758&parentPage=family
If that doesn't work, search McDavid Calf Support on Sports Authority's webpage. I just wore it after I ran and whenever my calf was bothering me. Lightened up my running for a couple days (not stopped just slowed my pace) and it cleared up in about 4 days.0
